Delete your account and export your data

How to export a full copy of your Miatz data and permanently delete your account, self-serve, from Profile → Account.

  • Leave cleanly whenever you choose — deletion is self-serve, immediate and permanent
  • Take everything with you first: a one-click JSON export of your full record
  • Know exactly what's deleted, what's briefly retained for legal reasons, and why

Your data, your call

Your Miatz record belongs to you. You can take a complete copy of it whenever you like, and you can delete your account yourself — no support ticket, no retention dance, no waiting period. Both live in the same place: Profile → Account, on the web and in the iOS and Android apps alike.

Export everything first

Before deleting, consider the one-click data export: a JSON file containing your profile, points and streaks, exam and quiz answers, coding and practice attempts, war-room and simulation runs, bug reports, forum posts, support tickets, certificates, badges and settings. It's your full learning record in a portable format — and once the account is gone, there's no other way to get it back.

Delete your account, self-serve

1. Sign in to Miatz (web or mobile app).

2. Go to Profile → Account → Delete account.

3. Confirm.

Deletion is immediate and permanent. If you signed up with Sign in with Apple, the associated Apple token is revoked in the same step, so the link disappears from your Apple ID too.

What's deleted — and what briefly isn't

Deleted: your profile (name, email, optional photo), learning progress (XP, streaks, levels, exam and quiz answers), community and forum posts, AI-tutor chat history, notification and push tokens, and account settings.

Retained: only the limited records legal, tax or security obligations require — kept no longer than the law demands, then removed. Short-lived operational logs prune themselves automatically. The full detail lives in the Privacy Policy at miatz.com/privacy.

Locked out? There's a fallback

If you can't sign in, email hello@miatz.com from the address on your account with the subject "Account deletion request". Miatz verifies ownership and deletes the account within 30 days.

And if you're only stepping away — not leaving — remember there's nothing to cancel: Miatz is free for founding cohorts, with no card on file and no subscription ticking while you're gone.

Frequently asked

How do I delete my Miatz account?

Sign in on the web or in the mobile app and go to Profile → Account → Delete account, then confirm. Your account and associated data are deleted immediately and permanently — no email exchange or waiting period required.

Can I download my data before deleting my account?

Yes. From Profile → Account you can export a JSON copy of your data: profile, XP and streaks, exam and quiz answers, coding and practice attempts, forum posts, support tickets, certificates and settings. Export first — deletion can't be undone.

What exactly gets deleted?

All of your personal data: your profile (name, email, optional photo), learning progress (XP, streaks, levels, exam and quiz answers), community and forum posts, AI-tutor chat history, notification and push tokens, and account settings.

Does deleting my account remove Sign in with Apple access?

Yes. If you signed up with Sign in with Apple, deleting your account also revokes the associated Apple token, so the connection disappears from your Apple ID as well.

What if I can't sign in to delete my account?

Email hello@miatz.com from the address on your account with the subject 'Account deletion request'. Miatz verifies ownership and deletes the account within 30 days.

Is anything kept after deletion?

Only limited records required by legal, tax or security obligations, retained no longer than the law requires and then removed. Short-lived operational logs are pruned automatically. Everything else is deleted or de-identified on the spot.
