The Business portal
Business is your organization's control plane. It sits beside the learner app rather than inside it, because it answers a different question: not what am I learning but who is in this organization and what may they do.

Seats, member and team counts, open invites and verified domains — plus the quick actions for the four things you do most.
A seat is held by an active membership. Your plan may cap them; when someone leaves, their seat is freed.
Members
Everyone who holds a membership here, with search and filters for role, team and status.
A membership is the relationship between a person and your organization: their role, their team, their work email, whether they are an employee, a partner or a customer. The person's Miatz account is separate and permanent — it is theirs, and it stays with them when they leave.
Teams
Group members so a manager sees their own people and so an invite or a program can target a group instead of a list of names.
Invites
Two ways to invite by email:
- Hand-picked people — for pilots and role-critical training.
- Whole-org rollout — the same invite, tagged so your reporting can tell a pilot from a rollout.
Each invite creates a membership once it is accepted, and expires if it is not.
Domains
Claim the email domain your colleagues use, publish the DNS TXT record we show you, and — once it verifies — colleagues signing in with that address can join without an individual invite. Domain joins land on the role you choose, never Owner or Org Admin.
Three more enrollment models (rule-based cohorts, directory sync and customer self-serve) are on the roadmap and are labelled as planned inside the portal.
Frequently asked
How is this different from the Admin console?
Admin runs the learning program for your cohort. The Business portal runs the organization itself: memberships, roles, teams, invites and domain claims.
Can one person belong to more than one organization?
Yes. A person has one permanent Miatz account and can hold a membership in several organizations — employee at one, partner or customer learner at another. The org switcher at the top of the portal chooses which one you are acting for.
What happens to someone who leaves?
Their membership becomes inactive and the seat is freed. The person and everything they earned stay on their own account.
Does claiming a domain let anyone in immediately?
No. A claim does nothing until you publish the DNS TXT record and it verifies, and automatic joining is off unless you turn it on.
