Grounded in the curriculum

The AI Tutor answers course questions with retrieval over the platform's own content — the curriculum you're actually studying, plus your org's own knowledge where it exists — so answers match what your program teaches rather than a generic internet take.

It also reads your context to aim better: your 360° skill wheel, chosen specializations, your focus of the week, your learner track, and — highest-signal of all — the open questions from your own journal. If you wrote "I still don't get closures" on Day 12, expect the Tutor to proactively clear that up.

Personas

The Tutor speaks through personas — subject-expert configurations, each with a topic focus. One is suggested automatically based on your profile and progress; switch personas any time to change the lens. Depending on your organization's plan, you may also see a note about the upgraded AI copilot — the base Tutor always works regardless.

AI Tutor vs Mysty

Both are AI companions; they answer different needs:

AI Tutor — for course questions. Runs on the platform's AI (no key needed), persona-based, grounded in the curriculum. "Explain memoization from this week's chapter."

Getting good answers

Name the concept and where you met it ("the RLS section in week 3") so retrieval lands on the right content.
Ask for a production example — the Tutor is built to teach through real systems.
If an answer feels too advanced or too basic, say so; it adapts to your level.
