How to use it
- Score the seeded features (or edit them) on the four RICE factors.

What this clears up (the fundamentals)
- RICE / ICE prioritisation — a ranked backlog is a formula: (Reach × Impact × Confidence) ÷ Effort. Change the formula's weights and the "answer" changes.
- Weights are a choice, not a fact — the moment you decide reach matters twice as much as effort, you've picked the winner. The list only looks objective.
- Ranking volatility — a stable ranking barely moves when you nudge a weight; a fragile one reshuffles wildly. The volatility number tells you which you have.
- Decision honesty — surfacing the weights (and their effect) is how you stop a spreadsheet from laundering a subjective call as an objective one.

FAQ
What is RICE prioritisation?
RICE scores each feature by Reach (how many people), Impact (how much per person), Confidence (how sure you are), and Effort (cost), then ranks by (Reach × Impact × Confidence) ÷ Effort. This page computes it live and lets you weight each factor.
Why does my ranked backlog change when I move a slider?
Because the ranking is a weighted formula. Increasing a factor's weight rewards features that are strong on that factor and demotes the rest — so the "objective" order shifts. That shift is the whole lesson.
Is anything I type uploaded?
No. The scoring runs entirely in your browser and nothing is transmitted or stored — turn off your Wi-Fi and it still works. Your roadmap data never leaves your device.
What does the volatility number mean?
It's the total rank positions your backlog moves when each weight is nudged ±10%. Low volatility = a robust ranking; high volatility = an order that's really a coin-flip dressed up as a decision.
Limits
A prioritisation aid, not a decision. It uses a weighted-sum model over the factors normalised to your set; different orgs weight RICE differently — the point is to make that choice visible.
