Daily review & spaced repetition

Why the flashcards come back, and how scheduling works.

  • Make fundamentals stick long-term with a few minutes a day
  • Hard cards come back sooner, known cards later — zero wasted reps
  • The single highest-leverage habit in the whole program

Retrieval beats re-reading

Daily Review uses spaced repetition (an SM-2 schedule). Cards you find hard come back sooner; cards you know well come back later. Grading yourself honestly (Again / Hard / Good / Easy) is what makes it work.

The loop

Do your due cards each day. It only takes a few minutes and it's the single highest-leverage habit for making fundamentals stick long-term.

Frequently asked

Why do the same cards keep coming back?

Daily Review uses spaced repetition (an SM-2 schedule). Cards you find hard return sooner; cards you know well return later. That spacing is exactly what makes recall durable.

How should I grade myself?

Honestly. Choose Again / Hard / Good / Easy based on how the recall actually felt — honest grading is what makes the scheduling work.

How long does a daily session take?

Usually just a few minutes. Doing your due cards every day beats a long cram session every time.
